{"id":20,"date":"2025-09-23T07:12:47","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T07:12:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/the-bod-factory.fr\/?page_id=20"},"modified":"2025-10-16T09:51:58","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T07:51:58","slug":"lhistoire","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/the-bod-factory.fr\/en\/lhistoire\/","title":{"rendered":"History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a former warehouse acquired by <strong><em>Louis Verni\u00e8res<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp; in the 1920s, which was used to store metallurgical products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u00ab\u00a0<em>Etablissements M\u00e9tallurgiques Louis Verni\u00e8res<\/em>\u00a0\u00bbwere the exclusive distributor for <strong>Usinor<\/strong> for construction and public works companies in south-west France, from La Rochelle to Perpignan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Louis Verni\u00e8res<\/em><\/strong>, He set his sights on Bordeaux and, without a penny to his name, borrowed and gradually bought buildings, land and sheds in La Bastide from 1920 to 1960.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This hangar was therefore part of the real estate holdings of the <strong>Etablissements Verni\u00e8res<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, the business focused on iron trading. But then, <strong><em>Louis Verni\u00e8res<\/em><\/strong> diversified into hardware, household appliances and gas.
